“No one worries about the weather on Saturn, because no one is counting on the weather to be a certain way.”
- Seth Godin
People are always searching for ways to worry less, which is a total misuse of energy. Worry is just a symptom of a larger issue, one we normalize and, in some ways, celebrate:
Expectation.
Instead of Googling ways to eliminate worry, start tracking all the times throughout the day when your expectations are violated or unmet. Then imagine what it might be like in each instance to loosen your grip and let go.
Things seldom go as planned. And people are not props for our agendas.

When I was young I had the ability to dismiss things without worry on the basis that it's not worth worrying about things over which you have no control. Sadly that ability was lost with age. However, I don't worry much, for example as a result of major surgery gone badly wrong, in a one in one hundred or more chance, I suffer from an incurable condition that could kill me very suddenly any day without warning. Do I worry about it? No, what's the point?
Now here’s an angle i didn’t think of before... if we don’t have expectations we don’t get disappointed... but even subconsciously we end up always expecting something out of stuff.
